Topic: Here I Am, Send Me

Text: Isaiah 6:1-8

1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Key Verse: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

Message

In a world filled with noise and so many distractions, it is becoming very difficult to hear God speak even though He delights in talking to His children all the time. Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord. He was called to be a medium to warn the children of Israel of the coming judgment for sin. He was also sent to the righteous for their faithfulness. He told of the Messiah Who is coming to save the world from their sins. Isaiah obeyed the voice by telling the Lord “Here am I, send me.”

Like Isaiah, God is still looking for young boys and girls who would be bold to spread the good tidings of salvation to the lost souls around them. So many young ones are dying daily because of sickness, starvation, wars, drug addiction, and other social vices as a result of poor choices they may have made. Quite a lot of them are lost and need to be brought to the saving knowledge of Christ. God is knocking on the door of your heart asking: “Whom shall I send and who will go for Me?” What is your response?

Prayer for today: Lord, help me to be willing to let You have Your way in my life all the time.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
