Topic: Home With Jesus

Text: John 14: 1-4

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Key Verse: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:3

Message

Phil and his family lived in a small rented house, but Phil often wished for a bigger home with more space to play. Every night, he dreamed of having his own perfect house. One day, Phil’s dad gathered the family and shared an exciting news: “we are getting our own permanent house!” Phil’s eyes bubbled with joy. “Our very own house?” he exclaimed. “Yes, my son”, his dad smiled. “A perfect place where we can all be together forever”. Phil imagined the fun they would have- playing games, having dinners, and making memories. His heart was full of happiness, knowing they would have their very own house.

Just like Phil was excited about his dream house, friends of Jesus can be excited about our home with Jesus in heaven. Jesus loves us so much that He is preparing a special place just for us- a place where we can be with Him forever. Let us look forward to our heavenly home with joy and anticipation! It is going to be perfect! Let us keep following Jesus until we get there.

Prayer for today: Dear Jesus, help me trust You, and look forward to my home with You in heaven.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
