TOPIC: JEHOIADA’S GOOD WORKS
TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 24:12-16
12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD.
14 And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer withal, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.
15 But Jehoiada waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died.
16 And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house.

MESSAGE:
There is no better testimony that can be written about a person than this that is written about Jehoiada, the priest of God. He was good to God and to God’s people.
Jehoiada, for the glory of God, had hidden Joash, the king’s son, from the sword of that wicked woman called Athaliah. He also arranged and brought Joash to the throne to fulfil God’s promise to David.
There is always earthly and heavenly reward for every good thing we do to honour God. Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Deborah, Ruth, Esther, David, Mary the mother of our Lord, Paul the apostle, are a few examples of those who honoured God and have their names written in God’s Book of Life.
What will be said about you concerning your love towards Jesus by those around you? Make up your mind now that you will serve God holily and acceptably all the days of your life.
You must sincerely take responsibility for leading someone to Jesus, and do deeds of kindness to someone. Also, be ready to endure shame and ridicule for Christ’s sake. God cannot forget your deeds of kindness towards His Name.
Prayer: Lord, whatever I will do today, help me to do it to the glory of Your Name.

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
