Topic: Knowledge Is Light
Text: Habakkuk 2:13-14
13Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
Key Verse: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
Message
Knowledge is a key pillar of wisdom which we frequently associate with light. This is perhaps a consequence of our ability to see things when there is light, and seeing is often a first step towards understanding. Knowledge is the light in the darkness of ignorance. Knowledge is also power because it gives us the ability to influence what people do and how they act. This means that knowledge helps to positively shape society, bringing great benefits to everyone.

Our Bible passage reveals that the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord. It is the desire of the Almighty God that every living soul has the knowledge of Him and comes to the understanding that without God we are nothing. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. To fellowship with God is to walk away from darkness and accept the light. You cannot remain in darkness and say you are a friend of God. You need to first turn away from darkness and embrace light so you can walk upright.
Therefore, you must repent and turn away from your sins of lying, fighting, disobedience to parents and stubbornness and the Lord will accept you.

Prayer for today: I accept the light of Christ and choose to no more walk in darkness.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
