TOPIC: LEARN OF ME
TEXT: MATTHEW 11:27-30
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
KEY VERSE: “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (MATTHEW 11:29)
MESSAGE:
Teddy was a sinner although he attended church regularly. One day, as he was reading the bible, he came across John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” As he thought about the verse, he understood that it was not enough to know some things about Jesus, but that only those who believe and accept Him as the Saviour and Lord will be saved. Right there, he repented, believed in Jesus, and became born again. Praise God! Jeddy became saved as he learned about Jesus.
Jesus wants you to learn from Him. He is our perfect example. Just as you learn about your school subjects by studying your books and listening to your teachers, so also, you learn about Jesus by reading and thinking about the word of God, going to church to hear the word of God with a desire to learn and obey. We learn about His obedience, righteousness, humility, selflessness, submission, and much more.
Learning of Jesus and doing what you learn of Him is the only way to grow to be more like Him, have success in life, be all that God wants you to be, and get to heaven in the end. Would you want to be like Jesus? Pray and ask God to help you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Dear Father, help me to daily read my Bible and obey all that I learn from your word in Jesus’ Name
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
