Message

Anger is one letter short of Danger. Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism (Merriam Webster Dictionary). Anyone easily given to anger is treading a dangerous path; it could lead to loss or destruction sooner than expected. The story was told of a woman who decided to visit her mother-in-law in a neighbouring village. It was a short distance and there was no means of transportation, so she with her children had to trek. The woman prepared and packed their lunch in a basket and asked her oldest child to carry the basket.

As they were going along the foot path, the woman’s younger child did something that made her elder sister angry. Without thinking, she flung the basket of food on the ground and started hitting her brother. All the food prepared by their mother scattered on the road and she started crying and blaming her brother. She could not control her anger, so everyone missed his/her lunch because of her unguided behaviour. A child of God should not get angry easily because it can cause pain and sorrow. Allow the Spirit of God to talk to you when you are provoked to anger. Let go of anger

Prayer for today: O Lord my God, please, deliver me from anger so that it will not destroy my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
