Topic: Miracles Through Prayers
Text: Nehemiah 2:4,8
4Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.
8And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.
Key Verse: “And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.” Nehemiah 2:8c
Message
Any concern too small to be turned into prayer is too small to be made a burden (Corrie Ten Boom) Why worry when you can pray goes a popular chorus. All our worries and concerns can be properly taken care of by God through prayers. No wonder 1 Thessalonians 5:17 commands us to pray without ceasing. Praying without ceasing implies that, moment by moment your heart is connected with heaven. That way there will be no room for fear, worry or anxiety.

Nehemiah in our Bible passage had concern for his people and Jerusalem. He took that concern to the Lord in prayers with fasting. God turned his misery to miracle. He got much more than he requested of the king. Truly there is no impossibility with our God. Stay through in the place of prayers and all your concerns will turn to celebrations.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, help me to always bring all my worries to You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
