DCLM Sincere Milk 11 November 2024 — More And More
DCLM Sincere Milk 11 November 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — More And More
Topic: More And More
Text: 1Corinthians 2:9-13
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Key Verse: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
Message
After he repented of his sins and became a child of God, Jarrett noticed that there is a special joy he experiences anytime he shares Jesus’ love with sinners and they repent. He discovered that the joy that filled his heart for loving and obeying God was more than the happiness he had whenever he received gifts or passed his examinations.

The joy and the blessings that come to a friend of Jesus, who loves God with all of his/her heart and obeys His commandments are greater than anything this world has to offer. As young as Samuel was, he discovered this and dedicated his life to God and His service. This was also true of Paul the apostle after he surrendered his life to God on his way to Damascus. Do you really love Jesus? Do you obey Him all the time? Give your heart to Christ and ask Him to help you love and please Him in everything you do. There are many more things that God would give those that love Him with all of their hearts.

Prayer for today: Dear God, please help me today and always to love You with all my heart.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
