DCLM Sincere Milk 26 March 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — On Eagles’ Wings
Topic: On Eagles’ Wings
Text: Exodus 19:1-6
1In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
3And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Key Verse: “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” Exodus 19.4
Message
The eagle is said to be the fastest bird on earth. It can fly as far as you can imagine and never gets tired. It also has sharp eyes that can see from a very far distance. It is also big in stature and has a sharp mouth and a wide wing to carry the young ones. You can now see the reason why God explained to the children of Israel how He carried them on eagles’ wings.
As the mother eagle carries her young chicks on her wings to keep them from crashing while learning to fly, so God was caring for Israel and bringing her not just to the promised land, but close to Himself. This demonstrates God’s love for Israel and for everyone today who is a child of God. This show of love serves as the basis for our obedience and responsibility in keeping His word. God is awesome and good to all His children. Are you a child of God? If you are, then trust Him and do not fear. He will always bear you on eagles’ wings and you will never fall. If you are not sure of your salvation, repent now, ask God to forgive you your sins and wash you clean with the blood of Jesus. This is the first step to get access to God’s protection.

Prayer for today: Lord, I trust in You; let me continue enjoy Your presence.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
