Topic: Perfectly Fitted

Text: 2 Samuel 22:31-33

31As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

32For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

33God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Key Verse: “God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:33

Message

Sharon returned from school one faithful afternoon to see that the entrance door to her room was broken. A new door needed to be fixed. When her father returned from work and saw the door, he immediately called an artisan to fix it. A new door was bought and fixed, it was perfectly fitted as it was before.
To be perfectly fitted means to fix a thing in a proper position. God is interested in making your way and life perfect. You are created in the image and likeness of God. Being His image, He wants to fix you in a perfect position that is suitable for His own use and glory.

David in our Bible passage understood this when he said; “God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.” You can make God your strength and power like David by surrendering your will to Him, so He can use you for His glory and praise.
To be perfectly fitted in the image and likeness of God, you must make your way perfect and live a life pleasing unto God. If you have not done so, you have another opportunity today to identify with Christ.

Prayer for today: Lord, I want to be perfect like You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
