DCLM Sincere Milk 16 January 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Praise And Worship
Topic: Praise And Worship
Text: Psalms 96:1-9
1O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Key Verse: “O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9
Message
Victor woke up very early in the morning to sing praises unto God for all the good things He has been doing in his life and he was so happy that morning. Praising is a continuous act of worship before God as that is what the angels in heaven also do. It is a moment of remembering all the past deeds of the Almighty and thanking Him for them. It is also thanking God for yesterday, today and what He will do tomorrow. Praises to God should never cease out of your mouth.
Just like the psalmist in our Bible passage, we should sing a new song unto God. In your quiet time or family devotion, always start with praises because praises move the hand of God and make Him to do great things in your life. Anywhere you find yourself, learn to worship God and you will begin to experience wonders in your life.
Compose a worship song and write it in the lines below.

Prayer for today: Lord, I praise, worship and adore Thee.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
