DCLM Sincere Milk 13 April 2025 — Pray Without Ceasing Part 4 (Praying for children of security personnel

DCLM Sincere Milk 13 April 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiPray Without Ceasing Part 4 (Praying for children of security personnel

Topic: Pray Without Ceasing Part 4 (Praying for children of security personnel

    Text: Psalm 127:1-5

1(A Song of degrees for Solomon.) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Key Verse: “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalm 127:3

    Message

Benny’s dad is a captain in the army. Although he loves his family but his job makes it difficult for him to be home most of the time. Benny was always in the company of his mom and younger sister. As he grew older, there were questions bothering him which he could have loved to discuss with his dad, but because he was not always available, he chose to ask some of his friends in school. Before long, he began to exhibit unpleasant behaviour.

Today, please pray fervently for children whose parents are in one military service or another. Quite a number of the security personnel are working for the government to ensure security, protection and maintenance of law and order in the society. Some of them are not always with their families due to transfer from one region to another. This is why you should spend time to pray for them and their children.

    Pray that:
    (i) God will keep the parents safe in their line of duty.
(ii) The Lord will protect and them from all evils and show them mercy.
(iii) God will help each of them understand how much God loves and cares for them.
(iv) God will help the children of security personnel to enjoy His comfort and encouragement.
    (v) The Lord will keep their families safe. (vi) The children will not go astray no matter the pressure.

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, I pray that Your divine protection will continually be upon the children of our security personnel.

    GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
    1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
    2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
    3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
    4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
