TOPIC: REDEEMED!
TEXT: ROMANS 3:23-26
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Key Verse: “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).
MESSAGE:
There was a boy who made a boat from wood. He was very happy about the boat, and with great excitement, went to the stream to test his boat to see if it can float. While trying to test it, the boy lost the boat. He became sad and thought over the loss for a long time.
After some days, the boy went out with his father to the town to get some things for the family. Lo and behold, he saw his boat in front of a man’s shop. He went to the man, but was told that he had to pay some money for his boat to be released to him. His father gave him the money, and so he happily bought back his boat. Looking at the boat, the boy said, “the boat is twice mine”; one, because he made it, and now, he had to buy it again.
In the same manner of the story of the boy and his boat, God created us, but along the way we got lost in the world of sin. God then sent His Son Jesus Christ as the price to redeem us and deliver us from the hands of the devil. Now, being bought with such a great price, all the redeemed children of God must live to please Him and be ready to be with Him in heaven (1 Corinthians 6:20).
Are you still a sinner? Jesus has paid the price for your redemption when He shed His blood and died on the cross. Repent, turn away from sin, and surrender your life to Jesus now.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me to always appreciate the price You paid on the cross for my redemption.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
