Message
Fabian and his parents were returning from church one faithful Sunday afternoon. The sun was scorching and Fabian was very thirsty. His dad pulled over and bought a chilled ice cream for him, he was so happy as he drank it with joy and he was refreshed.
To be refreshed is to be relieved from stress or pain, to regain strength and energy. Physically, refreshment comes through various sources such as food, drinks, rest and exercise. You can be refreshed spiritually too. Before going to church you may be weak or discouraged but after the service you feel refreshed because the word of God has penetrated your heart and has brought relief to your body. Daily study of the word of God also brings refreshing and that is why we are encouraged to always read our Bible. Constant prayer also brings refreshing, when you are faced with a challenge instead of complaining, spend time to pray. Praise and worship is another form of refreshment, as you praise God you get relief. Words of encouragement from fellow believers and constant attendance at fellowship also brings refreshment to your soul.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me power to always find refreshment in Your word.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
