DCLM Sincere Milk 25 June 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Seek The Truth
Topic: Seek The Truth
Text: Psalm 119:159-168
159Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
160Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
161SCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
162I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
163I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.
164Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
165Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
166LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.
167My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
168I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.
Key Verse: “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.” Psalm 119:160
Message
In the world today, people tell lies almost every day and every time. Adults lie and children lie as well. It is almost impossible to believe what anyone says because people like telling lies. The question is, is it still possible to find the truth even in the midst of this lying world? The answer is definitely YES!

The Bible gives us an assurance in Psalm 119:160 “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.” Even though the world is full of lies, the Bible has the whole truth and that’s because it is the word of God and God cannot lie. Whenever you are confused about anything, the best place to seek for the truth is the Bible because it is completely true.
As a child of God, you should always read your Bible so that you will know the truth and you will be able to identify a lie easily. Don’t mind anyone who laugh at you for reading the Bible and believing it. It only shows that you love God and you want to be truthful always. As you do so, God will keep blessing you and preserve you from liars.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, please help me to always believe the truth of Your word.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
