Message
A soldier is someone who helps keep his country safe. Soldiers wear special uniforms and sometimes carry weapons like guns when the need arises. Soldiers work together as a team to protect people from harm and to make sure everyone can live peacefully. They protect a country from attacks from enemy nations. They are brave and strong, always ready to help and stand up for others, even when things are tough. The Christian is like a soldier. The soldier goes through tough training to maintain focus, discipline and ability to endure hardship. A song children love to sing goes thus:
“I am a soldier in the army of the Lord,
I am a soldier in the Lord’s army,
Bold like lion, gentle as a dove,
Inside and outside and serving the Lord.”

This lyric makes us to understand those qualities a soldier of the Lord must possess. As Christians, we should be like brave soldiers, standing firm on our faith and boldly defending the word of God against corruption. You must stand for Jesus anywhere you are, and live a life that draws others to Jesus, and preach the gospel. Troubles, trials and temptation should not make you fall. Always stand on your decision to serve Jesus to the end.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, please give me the grace to stand for You at all times
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
