DCLM Daily Manna 8 December 2025 — Speaking For God
DCLM Daily Manna 8 December 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Speaking For God
TOPIC: Speaking For God (DCLM Daily Manna 8 December 2025)
KEY VERSE: “For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me… I will speak that I may be refreshed: I will open my mouth and answer” (Job 32:18,20).
TEXT: Job 32:12-22 (KJV)
12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
13 Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
14 Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
16 When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
Speaking in the defence of truth whether in religious matters, politics, or other secular matters has often been recognised and appreciated both in Bible days and contemporary times. In fact, some people have suffered various repercussions including banishment, denial of rights, ostracization and paying the ultimate price (death). Vibia Perpetual, a young woman died as a martyr at the age of 22 years because she was a bold defender of the Christian faith. She was killed by the Romans along with her companions. In contradistinction and sadly too, some other people died as cowards because they buckled under and could not speak in defence of their faith.

Here, Elihu, a younger associate of Job, patiently listened to the conversation between Job and his friends. He waited patiently until theolder three friends got to their wits end accusing Job of wrong doing and Job had outspokenly talked of his innocence and accused God of unjustness. In Elihus’s speech and attitude, he was patient, respectful of elders, courageous, and had a good grasp of truth and justice. He presented his speech with wisdom. He spoke with fairness and firmness to Job and his three friends. His speech was so effective that both Job and his friends were dumb founded.

Today, we can defend the truth about God, His word, Christ’s redemption, the gospel, and heaven as we also confront the peddlers of errors using various channels to spread their errors. While the world is drifting far from God’s truth, the New Testament saints must demonstrate courage and boldness to speak the truth always. We must arm ourselves with the knowledge of the Scripture, the power of the Spirit, and holy zeal to confront the growing disciples of false doctrines in these last days.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A defender of the faith can never put up with errors.
THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
