DCLM Sincere Milk 23 July 2025 — Spiritual DNA
Topic: Spiritual DNA
Text: Galatians 4:4-7
4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Key Verse: “Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:7
Message
DNA is known as “deoxyribonucleic acid”, it is like the design of our bodies. It holds all the information that make us unique, like our eye and hair colour, even how tall we grow. What is truly interesting is that we inherit our DNA from our parents. This mix of genes from both parents is what makes each person special and determines how he or she looks and acts.

Indeed, our DNA is wonderful, it reflects how unique God created each of us. Just as our physical DNA influences our physical characteristics, so also there’s a spiritual DNA that defines who we are as Christians. This spiritual DNA is found in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ and is shown in the way we live our lives. Also it identifies us as God’s children and grants us access to His blessings. When we believe in Jesus, our spiritual DNA changes. We become new people, leaving behind our old way of sin. If your life does not show you belong to God, come to Jesus now, ask for forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. It is the blood of the everlasting covenant. It has power to remove all sinful seeds (DNA) and confer on the repentant sinner the nature of God.

Prayer for today: Loving Jesus, help me to be like You in all things.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
