Text: 2 Timothy 1:5-6
5When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
Key Verse: “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands” (2 Timothy 1:6).
Message
We are all endued with different gifts and talents, but many youths have neglected their gifts by not giving attention to them. God has not sent us out to the world without giving us all the resources and gifts we need to war a good warfare. It is the will of God that we are productive and useful. That is why He gives us gifts so that we can be resourceful. Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Find out the gift that is in you; build it up by working on them. Don’t be like the servant who hid his talent in the ground, dug it up and presented same to the master when he was asked to account for it.

There are many youths out there that are blessed with multiple gifts but are not utilizing them because of laziness or procrastination. Others use their gifts wrongly for internet fraud and other evil creative works. Stir up your gifts and use them aright.
Quote: He gives us gifts
Challenge: Do you know your gifts?
Prayer for today: Father, make me useful in Your hand.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
