Topic: The Believers’ Fellowship
Text: Acts 2:42-47
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Key Verse: “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42
Message
Believers’ fellowship describes the relationship that should exist among friends of Jesus. In the early church, the Christians did not only come into fellowship with God, they nourished a lovely, open, warm and God-honouring relationship with one another.

Fellowship among believers demands that they:
- F – Feed on the word of God together.
- E – Encourage one another.
- L – Love one another unconditionally.
- L – Learn from one another.
- O – Observe and identify with one another.
- W – Wait on the Lord together.
- S – Selflessly serve one another.
- H – Honour one another.
- I – Instruct new converts.
- P – Pray for one another.
You must not forsake the assembly of the saints. The Lord’s desire for His friends is that they come together every time to worship, pray together, sing songs of praise, read the word of God, teach young believers and do all things in common.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit of God, I ask that You constantly direct my paths to always be in fellowship with other believers.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
