Text: Luke 1:26-33
26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Message
An announcement is a formal public statement that provides information about something that has happened or will happen. It can be positive or negative, bringing joy or sadness. There had been some great announcements that had shaped lives, communities, countries and the entire world. Of all known great announcements, no one is greater than the announcement by Angel Gabriel about the birth of Jesus Christ. It was an announcement the world had long waited for. The one and only announcement that brought salvation and hope for humanity.
We are now preparing for the second coming of the Lord, a time eagerly being awaited by believers. Nothing on earth can prevent Jesus from returning for the second time. What have you done with the coming of Jesus to the world? As a sinner, you should surrender your life to Jesus, the Saviour so that you can live a glorious life and also be with Him at His second coming. There shall be another announcement soon about the second coming of Jesus Christ. This time around, Jesus is coming to take believers away before the great suffering on earth. How prepared are you?

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, please help me to prepare and be ready for Your second coming.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
