Text: John 6:1-11
1After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
3And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
4And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
5When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
7Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Message
When Jesus walked on the surface of the earth, He went about preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. He was also healing the sick and delivering those oppressed by the devil. Some times He went into the wilderness and large crowds of people went after Him because they wanted to be with Him. One day, a little boy found himself amongst the huge crowd of people listening to the preaching of Jesus in the wilderness. He had his lunch of five loaves of bread and two pieces of fish in a basket. When Jesus noticed that the people listening to Him were tired and hungry, He asked His disciples to go and get food for them. They told Him there was no place in the wilderness to buy food. However, one of His disciples told Him about the little boy.

The multitude of people were told to sit on the grass. Jesus took the boy’s lunch, thanked God the Father and blessed it. He them told the disciples to share for everyone. The people were over five thousand (5,000) in number. They all ate and there were left overs. Like the little boy, you have the benefits of salvation from sin to share with other people. God wants to use you to reach out to them. As you yield what you have to Him – time, talent and many more, He will add more to your blessings.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, please help me to be a channel of blessings to other people as You have blessed me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
