Topic: The Master Of The Wind
Text: Mark 4:35-41
35And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
37And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Key Verse: “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. ”Mark 4:39
Message
“I know the Master of the wind
I know the Master of the rain
He can calm the storm
Make the sun shine again
I know the Master of the wind”
The lyrics of the above song sum up the experience of Jesus and His disciples on the sea. Jesus told His disciples that they should cross over to the other side after ministering to multitudes of people. While on the sea, a violent storm arose, filling the ship with water and threatening to sink the ship. Meanwhile, Jesus was on the boat sleeping. The disciples woke him up and He immediately rebuked the wind and calmed the storm.

Prayer for today
Lord Jesus, please, calm all my storms and let Your peace reign in my life in Jesus’ name.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
