DCLM Daily Manna 25 July 2025 — The Never-Wavering Few

DCLM Daily Manna 25 July 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Never-Wavering Few

TOPIC: The Never-Wavering Few (DCLM Daily Manna 25 July 2025)

KEY VERSE: “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season” (Hebrews 11:24,25).

TEXT: Hebrews 11:24-29 (KJV)

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Edgar Albert Guest, a British-born American poet, wrote: “Where the going’s smooth and pleasant, you will always find the throng. For the many, more’s the pity, seems to like to drift along. But the steps that call for courage, and the tasks that’s hard to do, in the end result in glory, is for the never-wavering few”

The choices of a man ultimately determine his destiny. When a courageous faith dares the crippling thoughts of fear, the faithful few end up ruling their world. Young Moses grew up within the pomp and pageantry of Pharaoh’s palace. He was nursed with the balm of affluence and grew up having the kingly authority and power at his behest. Despite all these privileges, he never lost sight of his roots. He was the son of Amram and Jochebed from the tribe of Levi, the son of Jacob. At the crossroads of life choices, he remembered the doctrines taught him by Jochebed, his mother.

What a bird eats will eventually aid its flight. When Moses was of age to take his spiritual flight, he flapped his wings of faith and fled from the enemy of the Hebrews. He chose to “suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” He envisioned with the eyes of faith the unsearchable riches inherent in faithfully suffering with Christ. His unwavering faith inspired him to lead Israel to keep the Passover and dare to pass “through the Red sea as by dry land.”

Beloved, when you are grounded in God’s word, your faith in Him empowers you to make the right choices in life. Undaunting faith sinks the intimidating fears of men. It produces divine protection and preservation in critically troublous times. Be thoughtful to always choose by faith and not by sight. Avoid the easy paths of those in their comfort zones and venture out to the shores where great possibilities lie.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
If you can envision the invisible One, you will always experience the incredible.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
