DCLM Sincere Milk 10 November 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Right Time
Topic: The Right Time
Text: 2 Corinthians 6:1-7
1We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
3Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Key Verse: “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2
Message
Vera had heard so much about the beauty of her country’s capital city and wished to visit to see it by herself. Finally, an opportunity came her way. She was chosen with three other students to represent her school in a competition in her country’s capital city. She was very happy and made good use of the opportunity. It was the right time for her to achieve her desire.

The right time to be saved from sin is now. There is no better time to repent of all sins than now when you still have the opportunity. There are possibly some people in hell now, that knew they should repent, had the chance to repent, but delayed and never did before it became too late. Why are you still living in sin? Why haven’t you repented? What would you give as an excuse for delaying to repent and be made free from sin. Be wise and repent now!
For friends of Jesus, this is the time to prepare for heaven, pray and ask God to make your heart holy, daily ask God for grace to be obedient to Him and remember to share His love with sinners around you.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, I surrender my life to you. Help me to obey you all the time and be ready for heaven.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
