DCLM Higher Everyday 25 September 2025 — Think Of The End Result
DCLM Higher Everyday 25 September 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Think Of The End Result
Topic: Think Of The End Result
Text: Ecclesiastes 7:8-10
Key Verse: “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit” (Ecclesiastes 7:8).
Message
In the words of Wilfred Peterson, “Success is focusing the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve.” In our Bible text, we see the importance of patience and wisdom in our Christian journey. Often times, we become so consumed by the challenges or uncertainties of the present moment that we lose sight of the ultimate goal. Whether it’s pursuing a career, nurturing relationships or striving for personal growth, we must keep the end result in mind. Many youths become school dropouts because they could not bear the present challenges of academic rigour. Others quit pursuing their goals because they want to get rich fast and could not exercise the needed patience for them to make it in life.

The trials we face are merely temporary obstacles that we can overcome with perseverance and faith. It’s natural to feel frustrated when things don’t go according to plan, but faith in God’s unchanging and unfailing promises will make you to overcome all obstacles to success. Believers are called to exercise patience, while trusting in God.
Quote: We must keep the end result in mind
Challenge: Don’t give up when faced with obstacles.
Prayer for today: Lord, give me the patience and wisdom I need to achieve my goals.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
