DCLM Sincere Milk 25 March 2023 — Thy will be done
DCLM Sincere Milk 25 March 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Thy will be done
TOPIC: THY WILL BE DONE
TEXT: Matthew 26:36-44
37And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
Key Verse: “He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.” Matthew 26:42
MESSAGE:
Jesus Christ was about to go to the cross to die for the sin of the whole world. Before going, He went to pray and sought the will of the Father on this very important assignment.
The will of God is very important in every area of our lives, whether you want to embark on a journey, write an exam, visit a friend, go to school, choose a career in life, and so on, you need to seek the will of God to know if He will permit you.
Don’t just wake up in the morning and embark on a journey without seeking His will because He is the owner of your life. Sometimes your will may not be God’s will but you must ensure you agree with His will because it is the best.
Have you sought the will of God today? Look at the pain Jesus went through to die for your sin, why not come to Him today, ask for forgiveness, and begin to seek His will in every area of your life?

PRAYER: Lord let your will be done in my life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
