DCLM Sincere Milk 22 May 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Walk Worthy
Topic: Walk Worthy
Text: Ephesians 4:1-5
1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Key Verse:“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,” Ephesians 4:1
Message
To walk worthy means to take action, and purposefully do what you ought to do. In our Bible passage, Apostle Paul encourages the Ephesian believers not to remain at the low level but walk worthy of the ministry they are called into which is the ministry of reaching out to lost souls. They are not to take it carelessly but to be serious in the work of the Lord.

Just like the Ephesian believers, you have a duty to reach out to sinners in your immediate environment. It is not the time to delay or show unconcern attitude. You must be committed to the work of winning souls for Christ. Remember, only friends of Jesus can reach out to lost souls. If you are still a sinner, you must repent today so you can be qualified to do the work of the kingdom. Spend quality time to pray for missionaries and their families. As you go out today share the word of God with at least one person. God will bless you.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, give me the grace and courage to serve You acceptably
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
