DCLM Higher Everyday 29 December 2025 — We Must Preach The Word
DCLM Higher Everyday 29 December 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — We Must Preach The Word
Topic: We Must Preach The Word
Text: 2 Timothy 4:1-5
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Key Verse: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:2).
Message
Evangelist Billy Graham said, “The preacher’s concern is not to be popular, but to proclaim the Word of God.” He also explained that, “My calling is to preach the love of God and the forgiveness of God and the fact that He does forgive us…that’s the gospel.” The Lord, after His resurrection charged all believers to be engaged in the duty of preaching the gospel to every creature. The Great Commission is a responsibility of all Christians.

Have you tasted the cleansing power in the blood of Jesus? Have you been saved from your sin? If your answer is in the affirmative, then you must preach the gospel to other youths around you who are yet to yield their lives to Christ. Preaching is easy. Share the testimony of your salvation with a youth who needs salvation. Tell of God’s love, offer of Christ and His readiness to save the penitent sinner. The social media platforms are also there for Christian youths to use to reach their peers who could not be reached physically. Let God depend on you.
Quote: Let God depend on you
Challenge: You can preach.
Prayer for today: Lord, help me to reach my mates for Christ.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
