DCLM Higher Everyday 22 November 2024 — Welcome To All Round Wellness
DCLM Higher Everyday 22 November 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Welcome To All Round Wellness
Topic: Welcome To All Round Wellness
Text: 3John 1-4
1The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
3For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Key Verse: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John1:2).
Message
Some people have a wrong opinion about being born again or being a Christian. They think the promises of the Bible only border on our spiritual welfare. They think we can only be happy and healthy in heaven. Hence Dr. David Yonggi Cho says, “If Christians profess that their sins are forgiven, but do not want to be redeemed from sickness and pain, this becomes itself a grave sin which is committed against the will of God. It makes the redemption work incomplete.”

No one is more interested in our wellness than God. He is concerned about our physical, spiritual, material and financial prosperity. According to Charles Blair, “If God’s law of prosperity is to operate in our lives, we must believe that it is God’s will for us to prosper.” True joy and good health begin with knowing God. In the midst of hate, hardship, and hostilities in the world, God offers the complete package of not just holiness, and hope but also of all round prosperity. He wants you to prosper in body soul and spirit. Ask and receive.
Quote: He wants you to prosper
Challenge: You can enjoy heaven on earth.
Prayer for today: O God, keep me healthy in soul, spirit and body.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
