Text: John 4:21-26
21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Key Verse: “God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
Message
The Oxford Dictionary Wgives the meaning of worship as the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for God as a Divine being or supernatural power. It means to have regard with great or extravagant respect.Thomas Carlyle said, “No greater calamity can befall a nation than the loss of worship.” To express a worthy worship is to show a lot of love and adoration for our Creator, the Maker of the heavens and the earth because He alone is worthy. The Scripture reveals,”Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11).
He is the God who deserves our worthy worship even when we feel the world is broken, we worship Him; when the shadows cast over us, we worship Him; when things go on smoothly or roughly, our hearts must make the choice to praise and worship Him and sing a new song unto the Lord our God. Let’s worship the Lord heartily always for He alone is worthy of worship.

Prayer for today: Lord, help me to worship you all the days of my life!
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
