DCLM Sincere Milk 4 February 2024 — You Can Do It
DCLM Sincere Milk 4 February 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — You Can Do It
Topic: You Can Do It
Text: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Key Verse: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a
Message
There are many things a child is expected to be able to do on his/her own with little or no assistance. While some are ready to go ahead, some are not- they are unwilling, afraid and want someone to give them a ‘push,’ while some can ‘take a go’ at it! God has put the ability to be able to do a lot of things in human beings. Some children are lazy and will always be waiting for someone to assist them, even if they are well able to do it. Be bold! Do not allow the enemy of your progress and success cheat you; get up and go!

Take a step of faith, depending on God’s word that you can do all things through Christ. Jesus must be the Lord over your life and Saviour of your soul for you to receive strength from Him. Look up to Him for the salvation of your soul, hold on to Him for grace to do all things and keep trusting Him to pull you through whatever has been assigned for you to do. You can do it and you will do it in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Father, thank You for Your grace and ability to do all that I need to do to be successful in life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
