Text: Matthew 10:8-16
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Message
Do you know that free things are more expensive than the things money can buy? For example, it is said that an average human breathes two thousand gallons or 11,000 litres of air every day. And you cannot wait a moment without taking in air. Yes, how much do you pay for it? Perhaps all the wealth of the richest man on earth will not be enough to pay God for only the air he has breathed during his lifetime. There are many things money cannot buy. Even if it can, nobody would have had enough to afford it. Yet, if you have the money to buy the whole world, it would not be enough to buy the salvation of your soul. God knows this, that is why He chooses to save our souls without charge.

Our Bible passage advises us on what to do with all the free gifts we have received from God. What we have received from God must be freely given to others also. Have you received the free gift of salvation? God gave you His Son freely and it cost Jesus so much pain when He died and rose again to save you. The debt you owe Him is to go and preach His love to others. This will lead to their salvation and deliverance from the path of hellfire. Do that today.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to share with others freely the gospel of peace.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
