Text: Hebrews 13:5-8
6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Message
In a troublous and fast-changing world that goes from one crisis to another, nothing seems permanent. However, Hebrews 13:8 gives us a statement of faith that has been a source of strength and encouragement for Christians in every generation. Through all the changes in the society around us, Jesus Christ changes not, He is ever the same. His power cannot diminish, His love never fails, His mercies endure forever.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday because He was active in creation. He was the Spoken Word through whom all things were created and sustained. Jesus Christ is the same today because as the obedient son, He came to earth in the likeness of men. He suffered, died and shed His blood to cleanse us from our sins. Jesus Christ offers salvation to everyone who calls upon His name. He is the very image of the Invisible God. Jesus Christ is the same forever, reigning in glory at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Jesus Christ is always the same. Whatever circumstance we find ourselves, we come to experience that what He has done for us, even for one moment in the past, He will do every day and every time because He is always the same yesterday, today and forever.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, be my Lord and Master forever.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
