Message
When a baby is born, she is expected to cry. The doctor and the nurses will do everything possible to make sure the baby cries. This cry is very important because it is a sign that the baby is healthy. Dr. Yvonne Bohn explains that the baby’s first official cry shows that the lungs are working properly. The cry indicates the breathing ability of the new born baby. And once the baby starts breathing on her own outside the mother’s belly, she will never stop till death.
Prayer is the spiritual breadth of a new born friend of Jesus. Like the new born baby cannot do without crying and taking in air, the believer cannot do without prayer. Prayerlessness is a sign of spiritual illness in the spiritual life of friends of Jesus. Jesus wants us to pray. It is the only way we can tell Him our desire. But we must pray believing that whatever we ask in prayer, we shall receive.
You must be willing to pray. A fervent prayerful life is a mark that you are spiritually alive. Your joy and encouragement to pray should rest on the promise of Jesus that you will receive all you ask from Him. Take your desires to God in prayer. Believe and you will receive.

Prayer for today: Lord, teach me how to pray and answer me when I pray.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
