Topic: God – The Builder Of Life
Text: Psalm 127: 1, 2
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Key Verse: “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1
Message
Building is not only limited to erecting or constructing a structure, such as house or factory. Building is also applicable to formation of life, family, future and other things. We often witness the building of house; starting with site cleaning, foundation and before we know it, a mighty structure is standing. From our Bible we understand that if God is not the builder of our lives, all our efforts will be in vain. This is true because we have seen men-built houses with care and at great cost, only to see them collapse. Building of physical house requires a lot of skills and materials.
God is our Creator and Redeemer; He is the only Expert in building a purposeful life. We should leave the building of our lives in His hands. Note that the Psalmist encourages us to do all we can, and then put our trust in God. Do not put your trust on ability, intelligence, talent or parents’ wealth. When we make God the Architect of our future, fear and anxiety disappear and we become successful in life. Remember, no matter what we do or where we are, the Lord is the One Who makes things come to pass. We can praise Him for He holds every aspect of our lives in His hands.

Prayer for today: Lord, please, help me to live my life according to Your divine plan
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
