Topic: Bold As Lion – Part 2
Text: Proverbs 28:1-5
1The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
3A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Key Verse: “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1
Message
The Bible shows us examples of men and women who were as bold as lion in their pursuit of kingdom assignment. Some of them are: Elijah who boldly challenged the prophets of Baal and defeated them. Daniel prayed even when the king issued a decree of death to who ever did. The lions became his friends in their den. The three Hebrew youths – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego dared king Nebuchadnezzar as they refused to bow down to his golden image. Not even the threat of the burning fiery furnace shook their conviction. They stood firmly and boldly for God. They survived thefire while the king’s messengers were burnt by it. David was even bolder than the lion. He slew a lion, a bear and Goliath the champion of the Philistines. His action brought honour to God’s Name.

Prayer for today: God, please make me as bold as the lion as I cleave unto You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
