DCLM Higher Everyday 1 November 2026 — Vessel Unto Honour
Topic: Vessel Unto Honour
Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2:19-21 (KJV)
19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
KEY VERSE: “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work” (2 Timothy 2:21).
Message
All saved youths who have genuinely experienced a life-changing transformation are called to be vessels unto honour, set apart for God’s use. God is holy; heaven is His throne and is holy; the angels are holy; and all who desire to serve Him must be holy. Unholy service is unacceptable to God. Only holy vessels are honourable and can offer acceptable service to God. To be a vessel unto honour, you must be free from sin – purified inwardly and outwardly from sin and worldly influence.
You must live according to God’s standards and be willing and available to be used by Him for His purposes. Those who live in secret sins, defilement, hypocrisy, deception, fraud, examination malpractices, envy, jealousy, violence, sodomy, fleshly lusts, and worldliness are not vessels unto honour. God’s word commands that you live a holy life to please Him. He never commands anyone to do what He does not give grace for. Nonetheless, all who willingly acknowledge their flaws and ask to be purged of all defilements through faith in Christ’s blood will be accepted (2 Timothy 2:21).
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, I am ready, make me a vessel unto honour in Jesus’ name.
CHALLENGE
Let God make you a holy vessel today.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
