DCLM Sincere Milk 10 April 2025 — In The Beginning

DCLM Sincere Milk 10 April 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiIn The Beginning

Topic: In The Beginning

Text: Genesis 1:1-10

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Key Verse: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

Message

The beginning of anything is very significant. To begin is to start or commence a thing, an action, a journey, a project or a plan. The world came into existence from the beginning. According to the Bible passage, the first thing God created was the heaven and the earth and that has transformed to what we have today. What does this teach us? It teaches us that the beginning of a thing matters a lot.

It is always better to start well as that will give the signal of better things ahead. As a student, you are encouraged to take your studies seriously and begin with good grades so that it can be sustained to the end. Better preparation will result in better performance; when you prepare at the beginning of the term while others are playing and you sustain it by continuous reading, and with the help of God, you will excel.

Allow God to begin a new work in you and mould you in the best way so that you will be useful to your generation. Do not despise the little beginning as it will surely grow to a greater level.

Prayer for today: Lord, I want You to begin a new work in my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
