Text: Mark 11:22-24
22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Message
Prayer is talking to God. He wants His children to always talk to Him about their needs, troubles and whatever is on their minds. One of the dangers of praying without receiving answers is when we pray without believing that God will answer. It shows lack of faith in the heart of the person praying. God is not happy about this.
You may ask “what if I pray, and no answer comes?”-keep praying. God’s time is not man’s own- answer will definitely come. The story was told of a community where there had been no rain for some years and things were hard for the people- scarcity of food to eat, water to drink. One day, a preacher went to one of the villages in the community.

After preaching and teaching the people to confess their sins, he decided to pray that God should bring rain. One little girl attended the prayer, she believed that the rain would fall if the man of God prayed. So she went to the place with her small raincoat. After prayer, people started going to their houses, many were saying that they knew the rain would not fall, though the cloud had gathered while the prayer meeting was going on. Suddenly, it started to shower, and before long, there was a heavy down pour and the rain came down! God answered their prayers at last. The little girl’s faith was rewarded and she was not soaked in the rain like others. It is good to have faith in God.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the faith to believe as I pray so that I can receive from You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
