Topic: A New Beginning
Text: Isaiah 43:18-21
18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
20The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Key Verse: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
Message
Life is full of beginnings. We start each day with a new dawn of expectation. We also start each year with a resolution and an expectation of things to come. We find new friends where we live or in the school we attend, it is a new beginning. These changes and beginnings are all from God. He gives us the sunshine we enjoy each day. He is timeless, but He gives us the gift of hope for better days and a peace that passes all understanding.

A new beginning is about changing our story by resetting both our course and our focus on living the life that we were created to live. A new day is like a new baby, many changes will be necessary, some of which will be challenging, some rewarding and some may not. But God has reasons for each of us to have beginnings during our lives.
Our key verse reveals the assurance from God on doing a new thing in our lives. Therefore, as you begin the day, know that every day is a new beginning and every year has new beginnings. New things will begin in your life from this day on.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus do a new thing in my life from this day forward.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
