Text: Psalm 75:5-7
5Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
6For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Message
Zara was a very brilliant and humble girl. Because of her performance, she was nicknamed “First Among Equals” by the head teacher of the school. She always came first in everything whether in her studies, debates, sports and other extra curriculum activities in the school. She was even given double promotion in her class and scholarship to the university was already waiting for her.

What was the secret of Zara’s success and numerous promotions? Some of her classmates found out that the secret of her success was that she was a friend of Jesus. Zara also devoted her time to seek the face of God for success and promotion in every area of her life, she was also hardworking and obedient.
Promotion does not come from your parents, friends, pastors, leaders, neither does it come through charms or cheating. Promotion comes from the Lord. To receive divine promotion, you need to identify with the source of success and promotion Who is Jesus Christ, the Giver of all good gifts. When you surrender your life to Christ, you then ask Him to take charge of your life.

Prayer for today: I pray for double promotion in all areas of my life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
