DCLM Sincere Milk 25 October 2026 — Pharaoh’s Kind Of Repentance
DCLM Sincere Milk 25 October 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Pharaoh’s Kind Of Repentance
Topic: Pharaoh’s Kind Of Repentance
Bible Reading: Exodus 10:16-20 (KJV)
16Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.
18And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.
19And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.
20But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
KEY VERSE: “Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.” Exodus 10:17
Message
Ben was an orphan who lived with his grandparents. B Ben became a reason for pains to his grandparents and Sunday school teachers, as he formed the bad habits of stealing and lying. He was never satisfied with the little his grandparents could afford to give him. Whenever he misbehaved at home, school or in Church, he would cry and beg that he would never do that again. But after he had been punished and forgiven, the next moment Ben was caught again in the act. Everybody expected Ben to truly once and for all, repent of his bad behaviours.
There are people, including children, “who play pranks with God”. Pharaoh was one of them. The Bible says such people are wise in their own conceit and to their own destruction. That means such individual or even nations are always destroyed by their wickedness and pride. The repentance that gladdens the heart of God is that one that brings about a change in your conduct; and results in a godly behaviour afterward.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, as I repent of all my bad doings, help me never to go back to my sins anymore.

1 John 1:5-10 304
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
