TOPIC: The Christian’s Boosts Part & – Brotherly Kindness
TEXT: 2 Peter 1:5-9
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

MESSAGE
Brotherly kindness is like being a great friend to everyone, showing love, care, and support, just like brothers and sisters do. Adding brotherly kindness and love to our faith brings us closer to God and one another.

Jane, a loving Christian student, was famous for her kindness in her community. She often shared her lunch with her schoolmates who had none. One day, she noticed Beatrice feeling sad and alone at school. Without delay, Jane sat with her, listened to her worries, and cheered her up with kind words. When Beatrice fell ill, Jane visited her, bringing items and reading to her some of her favourite stories. Jane’s acts of kindness toward Beatrice drew her to attend her church.
Kind words and acts of kindness are what the Bible commands friends of Jesus to add to godliness. As believers, our love should shine brightly like a guiding light, wherever we go. Let us show warmth and kindness so that others can be positively touched. Kindness is key to growing our faith, so let us spread it like sunshine, making the world brighter for all!
PRAYER: Oh God, help me to spread your kindness wherever I go.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)

3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
