Message
Throughout the old testament, God invited people to meet Him on the mountains. Noah’s ark rested on a mountain, Moses encountered God on mountain Sinai and God appeared to Elijah by sending fire to consume the sacrifice on mount Carmel and also to comfort him on mount Horeb. These are few examples of how these mountains were singled out as meeting place with the Lord. In the New Testament, Jesus often went to the mountain to pray, there also Moses and Elijah appeared to Him on the mountain of transfiguration.

Jesus also preached on mount Olives and died on a hill outside Jerusalem. After His resurrection Jesus met with His disciples on a mountain in Galilee. Mountains are stable and unmoving, and God wants us to be reminded that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can depend on Him. On the other hand, Jesus speaks of mountain being moved by our faith. This is impossible by human standards, but God wants us to know that with Him, all things are possible.
As God’s children, there are great and precious promises set in His word for us. We do not need to go to any physical mountain to meet with God. He is everywhere even where you are right now. He desires to have a rewarding fellowship with you. Therefore, you need to surrender to His will and counsel like Moses did. He will come to you and make your heart His home. Then you will have confidence to say to any mountain before you, “move” and it shall move.

Prayer for today: Lord, I thank You for the assurance that You are always with me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
