13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

14But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

15And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

Key Verse: “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Message

To become a citizen of a country you must pass through the process of either registration, naturalization or birth. The same way, to become a citizen of heaven, you must pass through the process of salvation and holiness of life for without holiness no boy or girl shall see the Lord.

Little children are not exempted from seeing Jesus on the last day. Jesus Christ while on earth allowed children to come unto Him. The disciples tried to hinder the children from getting to the Saviour. Perhaps they thought that Jesus is too busy or have no time for “playful children.” However, Jesus corrected them, then He carried the children and blessed them. This tells us that heaven is for all, whether young or old. To get to heaven you must prepare by repenting and turning away from sin and continuing in constant fellowship with friends of Jesus while you patiently wait for the rapture.

Prayer for today: I will be ready for heaven and make sure that I don’t miss it.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
