Topic: Pray Without Ceasing Series -Part 8 (Prayer for children who are addicted to various vices)
Text: 1 Timothy 2:1-8
1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Key Verse: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” 1 Timothy 2:1
Message
There are many children in street corners, under bridges, at bus stations and many other places where they ought not to be found. Some of them ran away from their parents as a result of disobedience and stubborn heart. They join gangs and have become social misfits and trouble to the society. Is God happy that such children are in that condition? Of course, God is not happy at all. His desire for all of His creatures is that they do well.

As friends of Jesus. It is our duty to lift up our voices to intercede for these sets of children that we see in our society. Today we must pray for such boys and girls because Jesus loves them and does not want them to perish.
1. Thank God for His love towards all the children in the world.
2. Pray that the blood that Jesus shed on behalf of these ones will not be in vain.
3. Pray for those ones who are lost in sin to find salvation through Jesus, the Saviour.
4. Pray for God’s mercy on those children and to touch their hearts.
5. Pray that the heavenly Father will send help to them before it is too late.
6. Pray that God will bring them to the point of salvation and deliver them from their vices.

Prayer for today: Lord, have mercy and save the wayward children.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
