TEXT: 2 Kings 4:1- 7
1Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
3Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
4And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
7Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
MEMORY VERSE: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
Message
The story was told of an orphanage home that ran short of food, the orphan caregiver prayed for provision, and not too long a baker came and gave the orphanage enough fresh bread to eat. In addition, a milkman whose milk cart got spoilt outside the orphanage, decided to give the children the fresh milk so that he would empty his wagon and repair it. This is a proof that God is more than enough to supply our needs. The above text and story teach us to put our trust in God, the creator who has plans and solutions to all human problems. He took care of the Widow in our text. He will take care of you.

A song writer says, “All I need in Jesus I find.” God has power to fulfill all His promises of blessings and prosperity for you. He actively supports His people and expresses His fatherly care toward them. He knows your spiritual, physical, mental, financial and academic needs. He is Elshaddai, your Sufficiency. However, His promises are for His obedient children.
QUOTE: He is Elshaddai, your sufficiency.
PRAYER: Help me Lord to stand strong in faith.
CHALLENGE: All that you need, you can find in Jesus.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
