DCLM Higher Everyday 3 April 2026 — Faith In Times Of Doubt
DCLM Higher Everyday 3 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Faith In Times Of Doubt
23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
25When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
Faith is essential to our spiritual growth and success in life. It’s the foundation of our relationship with God and the driving force behind our actions. Christians are to cultivate faith in the word of God to experience His supernatural move. Faith renews our hope in the promises of God and helps us to overcome obstacles and find joy and peace. It is a powerful spiritual force that can transform the lives of Christian youths who have made Jesus their friend.

Believers in Christ must arm themselves against the enemy called doubt which can weaken or erode faith from their lives. To retain the kind of faith that pleases God, you need to develop faith-enhancing behaviour. You are to constantly hear the undiluted word from anointed men of God and develop a well-structured regular fellowship with God where you read the Bible devotedly and pray fervently to receive more grace from Him. You also need to attend fellowships of believers of like-minds to be a part of a vibrant spiritual social network to spread the word of faith.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
