12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
13The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

Message
Have you ever heard the word “Achluophobia” before? Well, it means excessive or irrational fear of darkness. It can cause anxiety, discomfort or avoidance of dark places and situations. The symptoms include rapid heartbeat, sweating or panic when faced with darkness.
Dennis had been suffering from Achluophobia since he was a child. It started when he was trapped in a faulty elevator in one of the shopping malls in the city. It took some hours before he was rescued. Ever since, he could hardly stay in a dark place for fear of something terrible happening. Light is one of the things we often take for granted. Being in complete darkness can be unsettling and can cause a sense of hopelessness. Physical darkness which is just the absence of either natural or artificial light is nothing compared to emotional, moral, psychological and more importantly, spiritual darkness. Do you feel like you’re in a dark place with no way out? Do you get depressed or confused that you cry for no reason?
Do you feel unhappy with what is going on at home? Does the future look bleak and uncertain? If any of these describes you then there is hope for you in Jesus. He is the Light of the world and whos0ever follows Him shall not walk in darkness.
Turn your life to Jesus today. He will get rid of every darkness and fill your life and path with His light.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Light of the world. Please take away every darkness and fill me with Your light
